What is Duradek?
color samples - cleaning Duradek - waranty information

Duradek, was introduced in 1974 as the original vinyl membrane for waterproofing roof-decks, balconies and patios. Along with other PVC products, such as siding, windows and industrial roofing, Duradek vinyl has gained wide acceptance in the construction industry as the ultimate in maintenance-free outdoor flooring. Duradek's factory engineered products and professional, detailed installation techniques have set new standards for waterproofing that works. All Duradek products, when applied by a certified Duradek contractor are covered by written warranties. Terms are dependant on product thickness.

The Benefits of Duradek are not just skin deep!
1) Textured PVC layer with UV blockers and mildew inhibitors.
2) Second layer of fire retardant PVC.
3) Flexible fabric backing.

4) Duradek aggressive adhesive.
5) Existing substrate of deck or floor.

All Duradek membranes are reinforced for mulit-directional stregenth and stability, and have a textured finish for slip-resistance. To increase performance, the vinyl makeup includes mildew inhibitors along with ultra-violet and heat stabalizers. Duradek is also fire-retardant and resistant to most chemicals. Attractive patterns, colors and textures provide a contemporary look for your outdoor living space. Duradek is continually researching, developing and testing new products and application techniques.

Cleaning and Maintanence
Your vinyl deck should be cleaned at least four times per year (more often if acid rain or airborn
pollution is a problem in your area) using the Duradek vinyl cleaner available from your authorized
Duradek contractor. Follow the directions on the label. This cleaner is designed for vinyl and will not leave
harmful chemical residue like many household cleaners may.
Use warm water and a stiff broom, scrubbing
in a circular motion to loosen the dirt. Spray with a garden hose (under pressure) to wash away the loose
dirt. Flush thoroughly with clean water.
The more textured the surface, the more effective the non-slip characteristics will be. The smoother the
surface, the easier your vinyl surface will be. Therefore, a heavy texture non-slip finish will require more
cleaning effort and vice versa.
